Flowers and fruit complement each other well in an arrangement but there is one thing they don’t agree on, being placed next to each other for a long period of time. Doing so will only shorten the life span of your cut flower arrangement because the natural ripening process of some fruits. The fruits release ethylene gas,  which speeds up the aging process and is only harmful to your flowers. So with the holiday season upon us, as nice as it may look on your table, remember to keep your fruit bowls and floral arrangements separate. Wishing you a festive season…
