A large snowstorm is due to blow into eastern US and frigid temperatures are expected to follow after a mild spell. Snowdrops are the focus of Val Bourne’s article in the Telegraph, several well known people philosophize on youth, and two profiles of an Australian photographer and a Parisian lacquer company round out the artistic angle this week. Stay warm and those who are already in warmer climes should count themselves fortunate! ~Eric
