A little reminder of warmer times..
Since it has been a few weeks since our last Sunday Clippings there are a number of interesting articles to catch up on and we will be doing it in two parts this weekend. Since some parts of the Eastern coast of the U.S. has been hit hard by a snowstorm we thought we would provide some of you with a little bit of reading in case cabin fever starts to set in. Maybe you got dressed up this weekend, maybe you didn’t, but this container planting, not wanting to be left out of the fun, seemed to give off a spooky vibe. Using ghoulish colored foliage and set off against dark ironwork, we wonder if this combination was done on purpose. If so, hats off to it’s creator for taking Halloween decorations to the next level, because this could be the future for creative planting. I can see a bed of orange and red celosia next, acting as the fiery base for a witches cauldron, do you see where we are going here? The possibilities are out there… Any others? The heat of the sun is on the rise here, signalling the onslaught of the Spanish summer. The days have consisted of continuing to plant the terrace up and then enjoying it out there on the warm nights. The weekends are for day trips out of Madrid to experience new friends gardens and the surrounding countryside.
