This week's Sunday Clippings is primarily botanical and horticultural, except for one homage to the museum skulls in Paris. The RHS Herbarium has finally gone virtual and will have new larger headquarters (I remember visiting the cramped shelves, looking over herbarium specimens and paintings of cultivated plants). One casualty of this past year's brutal winter of 2013-2014 were the fig trees in the inner city neighborhoods of Brooklyn and other NYC boroughs, A moody video captures the quirkiness and beauty of Great Dixter, and Robin Lane Fox pays tribute to American female gardeners and garden designers.
