Tuesday's Terrace
Today's Tuesday Terrace depicts the simple evergreen beauty of English ivy (Hedera helix) adhering to the brick facade of a Philadelphia townhouse. Care must be taken when English ivy is permitted to cling against brick buildings since older bricks do not have the same resilience as modern ones against the roots. Nonetheless provided that one is willing to monitor the vine's growth, the effect of the dark lustrous English ivy during winter can be a reassuring sight that not all are denuded in winter. ~Eric
